This position will be responsible for planning, project coordination, and ongoing administration of the Human Resource Information System.  This role will also work closely with the payroll department, serving as the backup Payroll Administrator.

Essential Job Requirements

  • Provide support for HRIS, including researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities
  • Provide data or application expertise for projects and key initiatives
  • Assist in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS upgrades
  • Assist Payroll Specialist with processing of bi weekly payroll
  • Serve as backup for Payroll Specialist in his/her absence
  • Process garnishments
  • Serve as liaison between Human Resource Department and Accounting Department to ensure optimal use of HRIS systems
  • Other Duties and Special Project as needed and/or assigned

Required Education/Certification

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in a field relevant to Human Resources or Business Management is preferred
  • Certification in HR, Payroll or HRIS systems is preferred

Required Skills

  • Must have knowledge of HRIS system and variety of computer software applications including spreadsheets and word processing
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in data entry, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage large volume of confidential and time sensitive documents
  • Communication skills necessary to resolve payroll related issues with internal customers at all levels
